Throughout the 90's Nike kept developing their Air Max range, in 1997 Nike introduced the aptly named Air Max 97, these sneakers feature a multi layered upper and a visible air bubble running the length of the sneaker. With its sleek looks Nike took its inspiration from the Japanese Bullet train. 97's have come in a range of materials most famously 3M.
